DAWN, by NORBERT BRINKHAUS First Line: The mighty surge of dawn disports Last Line: Are his with eyes to see. Subject(s): Dawn; Sunrise | |||
The mighty surge of dawn disports A power all can feel; Carmine and grey festoon her courts The sun, a copper wheel! From out my hilltop rendezvous I view the fields refreshed Emerging from their jeweled dew In gossamer enmeshed. The beauty snared is my domain Though not owner-in-fee; The lazy river, rolling plain Are his with eyes to see. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...THIS MORNING, GOD by LAURE-ANNE BOSSELAAR BURNING DAWN by HAYDEN CARRUTH DAWN by GEORGIA DOUGLAS JOHNSON IN THE GARDEN AT THE DAWN HOUR by EDGAR LEE MASTERS EARLY RISER by NAOMI SHIHAB NYE |
