THISTLEDOWN: 17, by CORA RANDALL FABBRI First Line: There was a star Last Line: In my heart. | |||
THERE was a star Which out of the height of heaven fell, And was lost, ah me! The beautiful star fell into the sea, And falling, was folded into a shell, And the beautiful star became a pearl In the sea. There was a smile Which out of her eyes' blue heaven fell As the sunbeams dart. The beautiful smile fell into my heart, And falling, was folded in Love's sweet shell, And the beautiful smile became a song In my heart. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...A THOUGHT by CORA RANDALL FABBRI A WINTER PIECE by CORA RANDALL FABBRI ABSENCE by CORA RANDALL FABBRI AN OLD MAID by CORA RANDALL FABBRI DECEPTION by CORA RANDALL FABBRI DIED YOUNG by CORA RANDALL FABBRI HEART SONGS by CORA RANDALL FABBRI IN TUSCANY: A SEA-SPELL by CORA RANDALL FABBRI IN TUSCANY: ANITA by CORA RANDALL FABBRI |
