THE WALL, by MARGARET FRASER First Line: The stiffened brain is reeling Last Line: Seven times round. | |||
The stiffened brain is reeling With pushing against the blood That being thickened with feeling, Is rigid as wood. The blood is an obstinate wall: Resisting sudden shock, Resisting gradual pull, It stands like rock. The walls of Jericho Once melted to the ground. The steady brain must go Seven times round. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...TO MY HORIZONS by MARGARET FRASER TO THE POET IN AUTUMN by MARGARET FRASER FABLE: THE MOUNTAIN AND THE SQUIRREL by RALPH WALDO EMERSON EPISTLE TO MISS TERESA BLOUNT, ON HER LEAVING THE TOWN by ALEXANDER POPE THE DOVE by ABUL HASAN OF SEVILLE THE PLOUGHMAN by KARLE WILSON BAKER THE STEAM-ENGINE: CANTO 7.
