I fell. Nobody picked me up. All day the cars went over me The light tanks and the heavy tanks, The thunderous artillery. Now all my bones are powder-fine; The stones are grouted with my blood; I am become the roadthe way I thank thee, Fuehrer. It is good. All that thou bade me, that I did; Gave gladly all I had to give.
