THE CORAL VINE, by
First Line: The loveliest flower that I know
Last Line: I catch the rhythm, make it mine.
Subject(s): Coral

The loveliest flower that I know
Grows right across my portico,
It climbs aloft to make a scene
Enchanting as a fairy queen.

The tiny coral vine that grows
Beneath my window smiles and knows:
I catch its lovely color yet
In my own fragile china set;

I catch its simple pleasing grace,
And try to wear it on my face;
Within its gracious lovely lines,
I catch the rhythm, make it mine.
