SONG WRITTEN TO OLD MUSIC: RUSSIAN, by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD Poet's Biography First Line: All the night and all the day Last Line: Sad and outcast from my home. Alternate Author Name(s): Radford, Ernest, Mrs. | |||
ALL the night and all the day, In the desert I do stray, Through the wind and through the snow, In the darkness I must go. When the winter days are done, Fainting in the summer sun, On the treeless plains I stray, Through the night and through the day. From your heart which is my home, Sad and outcast I do roam, Lost beneath an alien sky, While the suns and moons go by. Deep the pain that does not end, Sharp the cry that I do send, From the desert where I roam, Sad and outcast from my home. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...A BALLAD OF VICTORY by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A BRIDE by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A CONCERT by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A DREAM OF 'DREAMS' by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A MODEL by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A MODERN POLYPHEME by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A NOVEMBER ROSE by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A NOVICE by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A PORTRAIT by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A PRAYER by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD |
