SONG: 3, by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD Poet's Biography First Line: Oh, moons of longing that roll Last Line: With the salt of their breath. Alternate Author Name(s): Radford, Ernest, Mrs. | |||
OH, moons of longing that roll Through the warm summer sky, Your fires are burning my soul That have left you so cold, Oh nights that prison me fast, In whose beauty I die, Your spells about me are cast, I am lost in your hold. My heart is pressed to the springs, And the passion of life, My heart is bared to the stings And the anguish of death, My pang of knowledge is deep As the seas in their strife, And big the tears that I weep With the salt of their breath. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...A BALLAD OF VICTORY by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A BRIDE by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A CONCERT by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A DREAM OF 'DREAMS' by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A MODEL by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A MODERN POLYPHEME by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A NOVEMBER ROSE by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A NOVICE by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A PORTRAIT by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A PRAYER by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD |
