SONG: 5, by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD Poet's Biography First Line: Why am I singing all alone Last Line: Is shining through the world. Alternate Author Name(s): Radford, Ernest, Mrs. | |||
WHY am I singing all alone, Outside your window here? Because the roses are all blown, And all the sky is clear. Because the glen I passed was fair, And fresh with morning dew, Because the gold shines in your hair, Because your eyes are blue. Because for many a sunny mile The hills stretch out, and furled Is every cloud: because God's smile Is shining through the world. | Discover our Poem Explanations and Poet Analyses!Other Poems of Interest...A BALLAD OF VICTORY by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A BRIDE by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A CONCERT by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A DREAM OF 'DREAMS' by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A MODEL by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A MODERN POLYPHEME by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A NOVEMBER ROSE by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A NOVICE by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A PORTRAIT by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD A PRAYER by DOLLIE CAROLINE MAITLAND RADFORD |
