A NOTE ON LIZARDS' FEET, by
First Line: Out on the desert
Last Line: To give 'em all wings!
Subject(s): Lizards

Out on the desert
Where the sands are hot
The lizards don't walk—
They gallop or trot.

And you would, too;
For it ain't so sweet
To have the old sand
A-burning your feet.

Oh, a lizard's feet
Is tender things,
And it wouldn't of hurt God
To give 'em all wings!
