SECURITY, by
First Line: My mind has been searching for you
Last Line: And leaves a heap of cooling embers at your feet.

My mind has been searching for you
Like a fragile, swinging vine,
Searching in the wind for its host.
I did not know the lineaments of your form
Could mould such steadfast strength,
Nor that your ash-grey hair vouched more security
Than all the ardent vows of Youth,
Whose sudden flame fades out with coming day
And leaves a heap of cooling embers at your feet.
